A magnificent debut season for Altrincham FC Women’s Elite U18 side is not over yet, with a big semi-final in the Cheshire Women & Youth Football League U18 Cup on the horizon this Sunday at Partington Sports Village, with kick off at 2pm.
League champions Wythenshawe FC U18 Girls stand between the Robins and a place in the final against either Stockport County or West Kirby.
Wythenshawe’s have still won all games bar one in all competitions this campaign, having suffered an enthralling 7-6 defeat to Accrington Stanley Women U18 in the first round of the Lancashire FA U18 Girls Cup, despite leading 4-2 at half time.

If there’s any side that can succumb the Ammies to a second defeat, it is Altrincham, who secured 2nd place two weeks ago with a crucial 3-2 victory over Stockport County Ladies U18.
Alty’s league defeat to Wythenshawe at Partington was only narrow, losing 3-0, though two away fixtures, one in the league and one in the Manchester FA Girls Cup U18, resulted in more convincing victories for the Ammies, 10-1 and 7-1, respectively.
Wythenshawe went on to win the Manchester FA Girls Cup U18 with a 5-2 defeat of Bury FC Women U18 in the final. Meanwhile, to reach the semi-final of the league cup, Alty defeated Nantwich Town FC U18 Girls 3-2, thanks to a last minute winner from Tia Unwin.
