Robins aim to return to winning ways at table-topping Barnet
By Joe Brayne
Altrincham are keen to bounce back to winning ways as we head to The Hive to take on Barnet in the Vanarama National League this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
A late goal from substitute Todd Miller saw Bromley snatch victory in the dying minutes and dash our hopes of extending an opening six-game unbeaten streak.
Despite enjoying a series of chances in the second half, we could not build on Justin Amaluzor’s equaliser and allowed the visitors back into the game late on.
Altrincham manager Phil Parkinson is determined to maintain his side’s momentum, despite last weekend’s bump. Ahead of the Barnet trip, he said: “It is a great game to go into. Barnet are a very attack-minded team, very similar to ourselves, and both teams will go toe-to-toe.
“It is a match we will be really licking our lips for because it should be more open than what we saw (last Saturday)."

About the Opposition
Top-of-the-table Barnet are on cloud nine after edging Boreham Wood last Saturday in a fiery derby clash.
Adebola Oluwo's powerful header sealed a narrow 1-0 win for the Bees, marking the 23-year-old's second goal of the season.
Barnet’s late winner highlights our hosts' ability to create goals from set-pieces as a Plan B, when their usual possession-based dominance faces challenges.
Seasoned striker Nicke Kabamba has shone the brightest this season, notching an impressive five goals in seven matches, including a magical hat-trick in Barnet’s thrilling 3-2 win against Ebbsfleet.
Former Blackpool midfielder Harry Pritchard has provided the engine in Barnet’s midfield, however, featuring in every minute of their successful league campaign thus far.
