Regan Linney Named in Vanarama National League Team of the Season
Regan Linney has been named in the 2024/25 Vanarama National League Team of the Season.
Selected by a vote of all member clubs, the Team of the Season recognises the standout performers across the division, and Regan’s inclusion is a reward for his campaign. Scoring 23 goals over the course of the season, Linney was a constant threat in front of goal, consistently delivering performances of quality.
The competition for places in the Team of the Season was fierce, with players from seven clubs represented. Champions Barnet and runners-up York City both had three players included, reflecting their strong seasons. Barnet’s Danny Collinge, Anthony Hartigan, and Callum Stead were all selected, while York City’s Harrison Male, Callum Howe, and Ollie Pearce – who finished as the division’s top scorer with 31 goals – also earned their spots.Elsewhere in the team, Southend United’s Gus Scott-Morriss was recognised for an extraordinary season that saw him score an impressive 17 goals from right-back. Rochdale’s Sam Beckwith was rewarded for an excellent debut season at Spotland, while Nick Haughton of AFC Fylde and Kyle McAllister of Forest Green Rovers were both deservedly named in midfield.
