Quick start for Lucas at Irlam
Loan watch is back for 2025/26 as our group of talented youngsters begin to make waves across various levels on non-league football in the North West.
We begin this week's update with academy graduate Lucas Edwards who after spending the first month of pre-season training and playing with the first team at Alty has headed out to Irlam.
The left back has already started three games for the Manchester Premier Cup holders, most recently in their resounding 4-0 win against Thackley in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
Fellow first team squad member Owen German started in midfield for Alfreton Town in the National League North side's final friendly of the summer, a 1-1 draw with Quorn.
Second year scholar Max Beddow started in goal for Barnton, winning man-of-the-match as his temporary team won 2-1 at Allscott Heath in the NWCFL Division One South. Harry Watson appeared from the bench in that game.
Also in the NWCFL Division One South, Isaac Mannion came off the bench for Cheadle Heath Nomads as they won 3-0 at home against Foley Meir.
There were also appearances in the Cheshire League for Henry Watts, Harley Renshaw and Ryan Knowles at Broadheath Central, Theo Bunting and Kian Leckey with Vulcan and Charlie Hough for Cheadle Heath Nomads Reserves.
Player sponsorship is available for both Lucas and Owen this season, with prices starting at just £80. Click here for more details.
