We're delighted to share the news that Matty Kosylo has triumphed at the Northwest Football Awards after winning the PFA National League Community Champion award following a public vote.

Matty collected his award in person at the prestigious event in Manchester on Monday night - and it's fair to say our number 14 was a happy man at training on Tuesday morning.

"I'd just like to thank everyone who voted for me. It came as quite a shock to be honest, but it's a really nice surprise to have won.

"It's obviously great for me personally to be recognised, but I like to think it's also a great for the football club as well."
