Marcus moves on as Alty accept Gateshead bid

Marcus Dinanga has left Altrincham and joined Vanarama National League side Gateshead for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year old striker, pictured in action in our last home game against Boreham Wood, arrived at The J.Davidson Stadium from Stevenage in June 2021 and scored on his debut in a 3-1 win at Torquay United on the opening day of the 21-22 season.
He had a brief loan spell at Kidderminster midway through last season and a longer, more successful one at Dartford after that before returning to the Robins squad in readiness for the current campaign.
He produced a prolific run of form in October, scoring in six consecutive league and cup games, but, in view of the new signings made in attacking positions over the past week, it was felt that accepting Gateshead's offer would be in the best interests of Marcus and the club.
In all, Marcus made 33 starting appearances for Alty, plus 13 as substitute, and scored 10 goals, and everyone at the club would like to thank him for his efforts with the Robins and wish him all the best at Gateshead, who are away to Solihull Moors in the National League this afternoon.
