Altrincham are delighted to be able to announce that admission to our opening National League Cup group game will be free for everyone after a local company kindly stepped in to sponsor it.

Property specialists Longworth & Taylor Ltd have agreed to sponsor the tie with Blackburn Rovers under-21s in a gesture that has enabled the club to offer free entry as we launch our National League Cup campaign at The J.Davidson Stadium on Tuesday October 8th, kicking off at 7.30pm.

It is a hugely appreciated show of support from Longworth & Taylor that the club hope will encourage Alty fans to turn out in force to witness the inception of a brand new tournament that has the potential to significantly boost the playing budget at manager Phil Parkinson's disposal.

Welcoming the chance to back the start of a new chapter in the Robins' cup exploits, Peter Longworth, from the Altrincham-based property group, said: “We are delighted to sponsor Altrincham’s first game in the new National League Cup.

"This new competition offers a great opportunity for all the squad to play against the rising talents of Premier League 2 teams, and we are very much looking forward to it - Come On You Robins!"

Alty Chief Executive Sam Mackenzie was full of praise for a commitment by Longworth & Taylor that has cleared the way for the doors to be opened and everyone welcomed in free of charge next Tuesday evening.

For Alty's subsequent group fixtures against Manchester United under-21s on November 19th, Stoke City under-21s on December 3rd and Wolverhampton Wanderers under-21s on January 28th, admission is free for season ticket holders, £7 for 18s-and-over and £2 for under-18s.
