Football's back at The J.Davidson - here's your match preview for the visit of Stockport
By Joe Brayne
After two away games over the past week, Altrincham finally step out at The J. Davidson Stadium this Saturday as we face Stockport County in the first home fixture of our pre-season programme (3pm kick-off).
Robins fans can look forward to welcoming back Supporters’ Young Player of the Season Chris Conn-Clarke, along with some of our other summer recruits as we embark on an exciting new chapter.
A youth-heavy side earned valuable game time against FC United of Manchester on Tuesday evening as Alty striker Regan Linney tasted defeat on his return to the club the Robins signed him from in February.
With several senior players set to make a comeback after recovering from minor injuries, Alty are primed to pose a fierce challenge to League Two promotion hopefuls Stockport County.

About the Opposition
Fresh from their penalty shoot-out heartbreak in the League Two play-off final, Stockport County bounced back with a 1-1 draw against Lincoln City at Edgeley Park last Friday.
Our near-neighbours will be keen to replicate their 2-0 victory from last year's encounter at The J. Davidson Stadium and mark their first win of the summer.
The Hatters recently underlined their promotion credentials after signing former Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell, outbidding newly-promoted EFL side Wrexham en route to securing his services.
