Billy Waters bolsters Phil's attacking options

Experienced centre forward Billy Waters has joined the Robins on loan from League Two Oldham Athletic until January.

The 30-year-old, pictured by Jonathan Moore playing against Alty for Oldham in February, goes straight into Phil Parkinson's squad for today's Enterprise National League clash at Wealdstone.

On signing Billy the gaffer said: "I'm really pleased we've been able to bring in a player of Billy's quality and experience. He's a proven goal scorer at this level and I feel he's exactly what this group needs at this time."

After beginning his career with Crewe Alexandra, our new signing made his goal scoring name between 2015 and 2017 with Cheltenham Town, before spending three years with Northampton Town.

Stops at Torquay United and a 19-goal National League season at FC Halifax Town followed, as well as time with Wrexham and Doncaster Rovers, ahead of joining Oldham Atheltic midway through last season - he'll wear number 29 for the Robins.

Welcome to The J.Davidson Stadium, Billy.
