Bailey makes first start for Brig

Plenty of action over the last week across the North West for our youngsters out gaining important experience in senior football.

Central defender Joel Bailey has now started two games in a row for Bamber Bridge - a 1-1 draw at Cleethorpes Town on Saturday, followed by a 3-2 home win over Leek Town on Tuesday night.

Owen German was once again in the Alfreton Town starting XI as they took on Darlington on Saturday, followed by South Shields on Tuesday - both in the Enterprise National League North. Unfortunately, Billy Heath's side went down 3-0 and 2-0 respectively at home to the North East outfits.

Lucas Edwards' run in the Emirates FA Cup with Irlam came to an end on Saturday as Chadderton claimed a 1-0 Preliminary Round win at Silver Street.

Academy scholar Max Beddow continued his run between the sticks for Barnton as the Northwich-based side recorded a third win in five NWCFL Division One South games, 4-2 at home to Wolverhampton Casuals.
