Another new date for home game with Dorking - fingers crossed for February 6th!
ALTRINCHAM'S much-postponed home game with Dorking Wanderers has been handed another new slot in a congested fixture list after the sides agreed to meet at The J.Davidson Stadium on Tuesday February 6th.
The Vanarama National League fixture was initially scheduled for Saturday October 21st, only for a waterlogged Moss Lane pitch to be deemed unplayable following torrential rain in the days leading up to it.
A frozen pitch caused a second postponement on Saturday December 2nd, while a third attempt to stage the game, on Tuesday December 12th, had to be scrapped due to Alty's rearranged Isuzu FA Trophy tie at FC Halifax Town taking precedence.
Now the sides will try again on the first Tuesday in February after another new date was agreed by the two clubs and sanctioned by the National League.
So, that's Tuesday February 6th, kicking off at 7.45pm under The J.Davidson Stadium lights as Phil Parkinson's in-form team bid to reinforce their push for a place in the play-offs.
Floodlit football on a Tuesday night at Moss Lane always creates a special atmosphere, all the more so with a bumper turn-out of Alty fans roaring the team on, so make sure of your place by buying a ticket here.
