Hours: Two Part-time roles; 4 Hours Per Week (Evenings & Matchdays)

Expenses: Up to £30 paid per week

The Opportunity

Altrincham FC Women are seeking enthusiastic, professional and committed Physiotherapist / Sports Rehabilitators to join our medical and performance team for the 2026/27 season.

We are looking to appoint two part-time practitioners, providing dedicated medical support across our First Team and Elite U18s (Reserve Team) programme.

The successful candidates will work closely with the coaching staff and players to support injury prevention, rehabilitation, player availability and the overall health and wellbeing of our players.

Key Responsibilities

● Providing professional medical and sports rehabilitation support to players

● Assessing and managing acute and ongoing football-related injuries

● Providing pitch-side first aid and appropriate injury management

● Supporting injury prevention strategies

● Developing and supporting individual rehabilitation programmes

● Monitoring player progress throughout rehabilitation

● Contributing to safe and effective return-to-training and return-to-play processes

● Communicating effectively with coaches and relevant members of the football staff

● Maintaining appropriate medical and injury records

● Promoting a positive culture around player health, wellbeing and injury prevention

● Working within the club’s policies, safeguarding procedures and medical protocols

What we’re looking for

● Qualified as a Physiotherapist, Sports Rehabilitator or in a relevant sports therapy/medical discipline

● Experienced or interested in working within football

● Confident assessing and managing common football injuries

● Comfortable providing pitch-side medical support

● Professional, reliable and punctual

● Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary football environment

● A strong communicator with players and coaching staff

● Passionate about player development, wellbeing and injury prevention

● Able to work evenings and Sundays consistently throughout the season

Previous experience within football or elite/youth sport is desirable but not essential

Additional Information

There are two voluntary positions available, each for four hours per week:

Position 1 – Tuesday & Sunday commitment

The successful candidate will be expected to attend:

Training (Partington):

○ Tuesdays: 7:00–9:00pm

Matchday (Locations across Manchester):

○ Sundays: 1:30–3:30pm

Position 2 – Thursday & Sunday commitment

The successful candidate will be expected to attend:

Training (Cheadle):

○ Tuesdays: 7:00–9:00pm

Matchday (Locations across Manchester):

○ Sundays: 1:30–3:30pm
