What a win for young Robins as they blitz Boston with three first-half goals

Boston United 0 Altrincham 3
Altrincham faced a long journey to an in-form Boston team in their quest for more National League points, but they made light work of the task with a spectacular performance that gave them an emphatic victory.
Alty showed their intent from the start. moving the ball forward and looking to get on the front foot.
Some brilliant football followed from a Robins side who were not afraid to keep hold of the ball, with Henry Watts and Kian Mattison both enjoying putting their foot on it and drawing the front line in to play.
The first blow landed in the opening 25 minutes. The ball fell to Joe Weston on the edge of the box, and he found his way through the Boston defence before cutting it in for Martin to open the scoring.
It wasn’t long before Alty made it 2-0 with the mid-block press. After Martin forced the keeper on to his weak foot, the ball fell to Mannion. He played a pass into St Romaine, who whipped it into the box for Knowles to slot the ball home smarty on the volley.
Under no real pressure, Alty were able to keep playing through the lines, and it led to a third goal before half-time.
Watson played a short corner routine with Mannion and worked enough space for a shot from the edge of the box which took a deflection over the keeper and into the net.
The second half started with Boston still not getting past Altrincham's back line, meaning Noble had little to do.
Alty might not have looked as dangerous going forward, but they were very comfortable keeping the ball for the majority of the second half and had no trouble seeing the game out.
