Altrincham 2 Boston United 2 

The young Robins played host to Boston United in hope of taking three points on home turf.

For the first 15 minutes of the match, Altrincham had most of the possession, moving the ball well into wide areas for Mannion and Knowles without creating any real chances.

All that changed after half-an-hour, as Watson slid the ball through to Mannion for a composed finish in a one-on-one situation with the Boston keeper to give Alty the lead.

For the rest of the half, Alty continued to dominate possession, resulting in a respectable first-half performance from the young Robins. 

Altrincham came out slower in the second half, resulting in Boston gathering some momentum and keeping the home side on their toes.

The game stayed fairly end-to-end as Alty tried to hang on to their one-goal lead, only for Boston to break through from a well-timed tackle in he 65th minute, as Boston's striker found himself one-on-one with Robins keeper Beddow and calmly placed the ball into the bottom corner to equalise.

After Boston's leveller, Alty lost momentum and struggled to regain possession as the visitors moved the ball quickly, resulting in some dangerous chances.

Alty managed to hang on for a short time but were found exposed on the corner of the box in the 85th minute. Boston attacked quickly with an unexpected shot towards the goal, beating Beddow to the top corner to make it 2-1.

Time was running out, but Altrincham salvaged a draw with a fine equaliser in the last minute.

A long ball was played over Boston's defence towards Mannion, who whipped it across to the back post for substitute Rowlands (pictured) to place into the roof of the net to ensure it finished honours even.
