Keaton Ward has left Altrincham after completing a free transfer to fellow-Enterprise National League club Gateshead.

The 25-year old attacking midfielder joined us in the summer after a successful two-year stay at Boston United and went straight into the starting line-up for an eventful season-opener, as the Robins beat Aldershot 3-2 at The J.Davidson Stadium with a late winner from Jimmy Knowles.

He opened his scoring account with a goal at Rochdale in our second fixture and followed up with a stunning volley to secure a 1-0 win at Truro in November.

Keaton's dead-ball delivery was always a feature of his time with us, and, in thanking him for his contribution over the course of the season, we would like to wish him well in his future career.
