Central defender Joel Bailey has joined FC United of Manchester on an initial month's loan.

The Altrincham FC Academy graduate, who's made five first team appearances for the Robins, makes the temporary switch to Broadhurst Park to continue his development after previously enjoying a very successful loan spell in the Northern Premier League with Bamber Bridge.

"We think really highly of Joel and this opportunity with FC United is perfect for him to get some important game time," said manager Neil Gibson.

"Joel had an excellent  pre-season and did well when he came on against Southend during the opening game of the season.

"With competition for places high and the excellent form of the team at the moment it's important we get Joel out and playing and this loan is exactly the right opportunity for him."

Best of luck, Joel!!!
