Alty return to The J.Davidson Stadium this weekend looking for a win to kick start their Enterprise National League season.

Woking are the visitors on Saturday afternoon (3pm) for what is sure to be another action-packed game on Moss Lane.

We go back to the National League

After a first win in seven games, the Robins will be looking for back-to-back wins this weekend for the first time since the start of September.

Jimmy Knowles was on target twice in Tuesday's 3-0 away win to Harborough Town, where Alty qualified for the first round of the Emirates FA Cup and a tie at Slough Town (full details here). The forward now has eight goals on the season to go with three assists.

The Opposition

This weekend’s opposition are Woking, who lost their own FA Cup replay 6-2 at Brackley Town on Tuesday night.

Neal Ardley's side find themselves two places above The Robins in 18th, after having won three, drawn four and lost seven so far in the Enterprise National League.

Midfielders Harry Beautyman is the The Cardinals top scorer so far with three goals, alongside former West Brom midfielder Jamie Andrews, who has accumulated two goals and two assists this season.

Match Sponsor

We welcome our friends from Wiseup Networks back to the John King Lounge as our main match sponsors on Saturday afternoon.

Matchday at The J.Davidson Stadium

Gates open on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm, with the Fan Zone, CSH Bar and Club Shop all welcoming home supporters from when gates open to beyond the full-time whistle.

This weekend's beer offering in the Fan Zone will feature our regulars from Titanic, Pomona Island, Sureshot & Hogan's, with our special for the Woking game being Sureshot's From Meccano To Legoland pale ale.

We will also have the latest issue of Robins Review on sale this Saturday featuring Keaton Ward as our cover star - grab a  copy from sellers around the ground or from the new club shop - for just £3.50.

Fan Behaviour

Our loyal and long-term fans have recently raised with the club and our GSO concerns over incidents of anti-social behaviour in the Golf Road End at recent home games.

As a result of this information there will be an increased stewarding presence in the areas where the poor behaviour has been witnessed. This behaviour will not be tolerated and we will take action, with the possibility of banning orders being issued.

Security on Matchdays

Working closely with our stewarding team, and in consultation with Greater Manchester Police, we are carrying out screening procedures to prevent potential weapons or prohibited items from entering the ground. These checks are now becoming common practice at football stadiums across the country and are part of our shared responsibility to protect each other.

The introduction of Martyn’s Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act 2025) has also placed greater emphasis on the legal duty of venues like ours to assess risks and have robust safety plans in place. While much of this reflects what we already do, it reinforces the need for vigilance and preparation in today’s world.

We completely understand that supporters may sometimes feel these checks go too far. However, we want to be clear: safety will always come first. Our goal is to provide the best possible matchday experience in a safe and welcoming environment for all.

On behalf of the club, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we put these important measures into practice.
