Altrincham have pulled off another significant signing that underlines the benefit of a successful loan system after landing versatile defender Harry Perritt from Accrington Stanley on a permanent transfer.
Harry made a huge impact during a temporary stay with Alty last season, and when the opportunity arose to recruit him again, this time for good, an agreement between the two parties was quickly reached.
His arrival follows that of centre-back Kyle Ferguson on a one-month loan from Fleetwood Town, and both deals completed in time for Saturday's away game with Wealdstone in the Vanarama National League.
Though primarily a right-back, Harry, who turned 22 last month, will give manager Phil Parkinson extra options with his ability to slot in to the middle of the back line or central midfield with ease.
He joined Alty on loan from Accrington on February 19th last year and was with us fort the remainder of the season, making his debut in a 3-0 home win over Dagenham & Redbridge the following Saturday and consistently taking the eye with his defensive reliability and composure on the ball.
At 6ft 1in, his height provided added security in the air from a defensive perspective and proved a useful asset at the other end of the pitch as well, as demonstrated against FC Halifax Town on April 15th, when his second-half headed equaliser earned the Robins a 1-1 draw (pictured).
In all, he made 11 starting appearances and one as substitute, and in extending a warm welcome back to The J.Davidson Stadium, everyone at the club would like to wish Harry all the best for a successful stay as a full-time Alty player.
