Goal ace Goodson joins Moors on loan
Highly-rated young Altrincham forward Zak Goodson is to continue his development at Spennymoor Town after joining the Vanarama National League North club on loan for the rest of the season.
The 22-year old, renowned as a clinical finisher, has been honing his skills on loan at Boston United but recently returned to Alty, where he has been training with the rest of the senior squad.
It was felt that more minutes at National League North level would benefit him, and he readily agreed to head to the Brewery Field for the remaining nine games of Spennymoor's campaign, starting with a tough test at home to Brackley Town on Saturday.
The Moors are currently in a mid-table position, in 11th place, but are hopeful that the sharpness our summer signing from Ilkeston Town is known for might yet help them push for a play-off place.
With seventh-placed Scarborough Athletic seven points clear of Spennymoor, having played a game more, it's all to play for, as Zak bids to build on the progress he made in his recent loan spell at Boston.
All the best for the next month or so, Zak, and we hope to welcome you back with a few more National League North goals under your belt!
