Carols at Christmas - join us for a special festive service on Friday the 16th
As the festive season approaches, it's a time for fun and friendships, for giving and receiving, but it's also a time for remembering and celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.
Altrincham FC are delighted to announce that, as usual, we will be combining all elements of this special time of year next week when we hold our ever-popular community carol service at The J.Davidson Stadium.
Despite the current sub-zero temperatures, the warmest of welcomes awaits on Friday, December 16th when our club chaplain Andy Barclay-Watt conducts what is always a joyful occasion.
As well as leading the service, Andy will be paying special tribute to those who have selflessly given of their time over the past 12 months to bring some light into the lives of those who have suffered hardship in one way or another.
In a promotional video, in which he extends a cordial invitation to everyone who would like to attend, Andy said: 'In this special event, we will be celebrating not only the good news of Christmas but the amazing work done by individuals and organisations throughout our community.'
So, come along if you can and immerse yourself in the real Christmas spirit, with mulled wine and mince pies laid on by the club and the Salvation Army brass band providing the musical accompaniment for all your favourite carols.
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, and entry to the ground is through Gate 4 only, on Moss Lane.
