Altrincham eye top-half finish in Easter Monday clash against Gateshead
By Joe Brayne
Alty will look to fight for a top-half finish in the Vanarama National League when we host Gateshead at The J. Davidson Stadium on Easter Monday (3pm kick-off).
The Robins will enter the game in high spirits after an incredible recovery at Boundary Park. Despite being reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute, Alty clawed back two goals in dramatic fashion to claim a point against Oldham Athletic.
After a flat start, Phil Parkinson's super subs Maxi Oyedele and Tyrese Sinclair led the way to an impressive comeback.
The late rally will have provided plenty of positives for the gaffer as Alty head into the final stages of the season.

About the Opposition
After a disastrous start to the 2022-23 campaign, Gateshead have recovered well and currently sit in 18th place after capturing 13 points in their last five matches.
The 2021-22 Vanarama National League North champions are six points above the relegation zone but will travel to The J. Davidson Stadium eager to extend their cushion.
The two sides have met three times already this season. Alty comfortably won 3-1 at the Gateshead International Stadium in October before losing an FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay a fortnight later.
Former Robin Marcus Dinanga scored for Alty in all three matches against Gateshead. Since joining the Tynesiders in February, Dinanga has been a crucial cog in their resurgence – chipping in with five goals in his last five matches.
Our visitors have not conceded for the last 270 minutes since allowing a late consolation goal against Aldershot Town on the 25th March.
