Plans for Saturday’s Game

Ahead of the televised clash with York City on Saturday, we wanted to make supporters aware of a number of changes to the normal matchday in advance.

As is standard at this time of year, there will be a Remembrance Day tribute before kick-off. A wreath will be laid in the centre of the pitch, and club Chaplain Andy Barclay-Watt will read ‘For the Fallen’, also known as the Ode of Remembrance, over the PA system. The Last Post will then be played by a Bugler, followed by a minute’s silence.

With this in mind, we kindly ask everybody to try and ensure they are inside the ground a little earlier than usual. Turnstiles will be open from 3.50pm, and a good attendance is anticipated, so please allow plenty of time for reaching the stadium.

Following a series of events this week entitled Paint Altrincham Blue, we are delighted to announce that Prostate Cancer UK is the chosen charity for this live BT Sport fixture at The J.Davidson Stadium, kicking off at 5.20pm.

The first team squad will be wearing Prostate Cancer UK t-shirts in the warm-up, and it would be greatly appreciated if supporters could give as generously as possible to this worthy cause. Your donations will help to fund research that will stop men dying from prostate cancer.

And last but not least, we’d like to inform everybody that the Community Sports Hall will close shortly after half-time, due to a long-standing function that has had to be delayed due to the change in kick-off time. In asking everybody to kindly make their way out of the CSH promptly at the start of the second half, we are delighted to add that post-match beverages will be available for consumption in the Fan Zone post-match until 8.30pm.
