Delays likely if you're heading to Wrexham, due to M56 closure

National Highways have informed the club of likely delays on the route to and from Saturday's Vanarama National League fixture with Wrexham, due to the A533 Expressway Bridge Replacement Scheme.

As supporters will know, we are running a coach to the game, and we have contacted the coach company to inform them of the M56 closure, in case they are unaware.

Should it be deemed necessary to change the pick-up times, to allow for the likely delays, we will inform supporters through our normal social media channels and here on the club's website, as soon as we hear back from the coach company.

Please look out for updates, which we will bring to you as soon as we have them.

For the benefit of supporters travelling to the game independently, we have reproduced, below, the information provided by National Highways and kindly forwarded to us by Wrexham.

You will see that National Highways have suggested possible diversion routes in both directions.

FULL WEEKEND CLOSURE IN BOTH DIRECTIONS

M56 J11-12 and A533 Expressway bridge

9pm Friday 28 October – 6am Monday 31 October

This weekend, we’ll be lifting the A533 Expressway bridge into position. To do this, we’ll need to close the M56 motorway in both directions for one full weekend. At the same time, we’ll also need to close the A533 Expressway bridge in both directions from the Murdishaw roundabout to Preston Brook.

Long delays are expected so please allow extra time for your journeys.
