Physiotherapist / Sport Rehabilitator APPLY NOW
Altrincham FC is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Physiotherapist / Sport Rehabilitator to join our medical and sports science team on a contractor basis.
This role is central to optimising first-team performance, managing player welfare, and delivering elite-level injury rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering structured, individualised rehabilitation programmes for First Team Players.
- Collaborate directly with the Head of Medical to implement a holistic approach to rehabilitation, maximising player performance while actively mitigating injury risk.
- Provide medical cover across scheduled training sessions, matchdays, and emergency pitchside situations as required.
- Maintain meticulous clinical records in full compliance with governing body regulations and legal standards.
- Deliver an expert level of manual handling and soft tissue therapy to all squad members.
- Communicate and collaborate with the wider support staff—including doctors, sports scientists, and interns—to maintain an integrated approach to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancements
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate degree-level qualification in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Rehabilitation.
- Registration with an accredited professional body (e.g., HCPC, CSP, or SST) along with full professional indemnity insurance.
- Valid pitchside emergency medical care certification (e.g., FA ATMMiF/ITMMiF or equivalent).
- Practical experience delivering manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation within an elite or semi-professional sporting environment.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility to cover variable training and matchday schedules.

Fixed Term Contract: End date 30th April 2027
Commitment: 3 days per week (c.19 hours) - Part Time
Days: Tuesday (8am - 3pm or Matchday) / Thursday or Friday (8am - 3pm) / Saturday (Matchday)
Fees: £1,000 per month (inc. VAT)
