Altrincham's recent run of Enterprise National League wins came to an abrupt end at Woking on Saturday afternoon at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

Alty dominated the opening 15 minutes and could have gone ahead if not for two excellent saves from Will Jaaskelainen to deny Aidan Barlow.

From then on the hosts more than settled into the game and went on to stun the Robins with three goals in 16 minutes.

The first was tapped home by Matt Turner at the back post on 21 minutes, followed by a confident finish from John Marquis five minutes later and a penalty, again by Marquis, with eight minutes remaining of the half.

Aidan Barlow's first goal for Alty reduced the arrears just before the break when he stabbed home from close range off a superb Matty Kosylo centre.

Despite a bright opening to the second half with Tom Crawford going close to reducing the deficit some more, Woking took control and finished the game as a contest.

Timmy Akinola beat Evans from outside the box on the hour to make it 4-1, before Roy Syla headed home the Cards' fifth and final goal from close range with 19 minutes remaining.
