We return home to face Fylde this weekend

Altrincham look to maintain our unbeaten start to 2025 as we return to The J. Davidson Stadium to face AFC Fylde in the Vanarama National League on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

A hugely successful road trip

Following back-to-back away games against fellow play-off contenders Oldham and Gateshead, Altrincham ended a challenging week of football with a trip to Hartlepool.

In an even affair, the scores were level heading into the final five minutes of the game, but a late double from Regan Linney and Lucas Weaver (his first league goal for the club) were ultimately enough for Alty to earn another impressive three points.

The seven points earned from those three consecutive away games leave Alty in sixth, hunting down those in the places above. Our next opponents, AFC Fylde, are currently in 22nd place, three points away from safety.

Following a home defeat to Boston United on Tuesday, the Coasters decided to part ways with manager Kevin Phillips. Fylde have won just two of their previous 10 league games, and only Ebbsfleet have conceded more goals this season.

The thoughts of Phil Parkinson

"We promote the benefits of being unselfish and pushing each other, and you can see that team spirit. Obviously winning gives you that as well, and we’re winning at the moment so everyone’s on a real high, but I just feel like even when things haven’t been as smooth, the lads are really in it together, and that’s why you get to this point now."

Earlier this season at Mill Farm

October 2024 – Altrincham put together a spectacular performance in the last meeting between the two sides, winning 5-0 away from home.

Regan Linney scored a first-half hat-trick before Alex Newby and Elliot Osborne added a goal each in the second half.
