DEFENDER Sam Roscoe has made a return to NIFL Premiership side Linfield.

The centre back joined the Robins last summer and went on to make 22 Vanarama National League appearances during his single campaign at the J.Davidson Stadium.

Sam's been a true professional and he's been extremely unlucky with the form of Lewis Baines. It's come to a crossroads where Sam needs to play and we can't offer him that week in, week out. 

We've all taken the choice that best suits Sam's career at this point and it was important when Linfield showed interest that we didn't put any barriers in place for Sam. He leaves with our best wishes - Phil Parkinson
