Robins reach out to local community by donating 1,000 free tickets
Altrincham have further strengthened community ties by donating 1,000 matchday tickets for the new season to be distributed throughout the local area.
The club have increasingly in recent times placed great emphasis on inclusivity, and this latest gesture underlines the extent to which everyone at The J.Davidson Stadium would like to extend a welcoming hand to all sections of the community.
The tickets will be distributed through Altrincham FC Community Sports' outreach programmes, focusing on young people, under-represented groups and local families facing financial hardship, in an initiative that will open up the opportunity to attend live football at Moss Lane for those who may otherwise miss out.
It is an increased allocation of Enterprise National League tickets compared to previous seasons, and Alty Chief Executive Sam Mackenzie explained: "As the Community Trust and football club go from strength to strength with their community outreach and programmes, it felt appropriate to increase the number of complimentary tickets the football club gifts to the community to distribute throughout Altrincham and South Trafford.
"We look forward to welcoming the recipients and to expose them to the community matchday experience at The J.Davidson Stadium. Simon Dow and I work closely together to ensure the community feel the benefits and warmth of Altrincham Football Club."
Head of Community for Altrincham FC Community Sports Simon Dow added: "This generous donation from the club will have a huge impact.
"It gives us the ability to reward participants in our programmes, engage more people in the sport and create unforgettable memories for those who rarely have access to such experiences."
