Paint The Town Red this Non-League Day
IT'S crunch time in the Vanarama National League playoff race and we're gearing up for two huge games at the J.Davidson Stadium in the coming weeks.
Before we get to Oldham Athletic on Easter Monday (details here) we've another massive clash with playoff implications as Non-League Day 2024 sends Gateshead to the J.Davidson Stadium on Saturday, March 23rd (3pm kick-off).
Non-League Day and a Great Cause
Non-League Day celebrates the rich history of football in Britain, shining a light on local football while the big boys are on their international break.
Started in 2010, the initiative is enthusiastically celebrated up and down the country, while also promoting good causes such as Prostate Cancer UK - who the Robins have partner with as one of 10 Non-League Day Showpiece games this season.
Help us Make History
The Gateshead game is also one of eight "cup finals" standing between Phil Parkinson's team and a coveted place in the post-season, with the ultimate prize a place in the Football League next season via a Wembley Stadium showpiece final on May 4.
We Need Your Support
We need the town and local area behind us more than ever and a bumper crowd on Saturday week would not only be a fantastic way to celebrate non-league football in our area but will galvanise and propel our already hugely positive season to new heights.
Spread The Word
Altrincham FC Director John Coyne said: "Paint The Town Red is an initiative aimed at bringing the wider Altrincham community together for a one-off fixture and to showcase Altrincham Football Club on what is a huge day for non-league football clubs up and down the country.
"We're calling on local people and businesses to get involved and Paint The Town Red over the next 10 days and to come and join us on March 23rd, enjoy an afternoon at the J.Davidson Stadium and cheer the lads on in what we hope will be another high-energy, entertaining spectacle."
Wear Your Colours with Pride
If you are coming to the stadium next Saturday, we are aiming for a sea of red colour on the terraces. Come and be a part of celebrating everything that's good about Altrincham FC and Non-League football.
A Town Coming Together
We've already had a number of businesses offer to support the campaign, and we've delivered display packs which include bunting, posters, balloons and tickets. If you would like to partner with us, and help Paint The Town Red, then email red@altyfc.com and we will put a display pack together for you.
