Our next challenge is Solihull Moors

Alty look to bounce back and reignite a push for the Vanarama National League play-offs on Tuesday night against Solihull Moors - 7:45pm at the J. Davidson Stadium.
Setting The Scene
Altrincham’s previous league match ended in a 1-0 defeat after a competitive affair with league leaders Barnet.
Saturday’s defeat sees Alty drop one place into ninth, now two places below the play-offs. Solihull Moors, our next opponent, find themselves in 17th, earning 47 points from their 38 games.
The Moors were a penalty shootout away from promotion into the Football League at the end of the 2023/24 season, but a prolonged period of bad form in 2025 has made a replication of last season’s success unlikely.
They’ve earned just six points in 2025, winning just one of their previous 13 games. On Christmas Day, they were 7th, but they’re now closer to the relegation zone than the play-offs.
The thoughts of Phil Parkinson
“Stick with us. Just remember how far we’ve come over the last couple of seasons. This is only our third year of being full time, we’ve competed for the play-offs two years on the bounce.
“We’re still fighting, we need everybody else around us to fight. It’s horrible losing, but we’re not getting battered, we’re in every game. We’re trying everything we can to turn it around and we hope with our better players back on the pitch and available for us that we can do that.
“Nobody’s happy with the results at the moment, nobody’s happy with the situation. I feel everyone’s frustration, but I hope everyone can see that the team is fighting.”
Earlier this season
November 2024 – The previous meeting between Solihull Moors and Altrincham was a high-scoring thriller where the points were shared.
Solihull Moors were 3-1 up heading into the final 10 minutes of the match, but a second goal of the game for Regan Linney and a superb finish from Matty Kosylo in the 90th minute earned Alty a point.
