Loan Watch | Remi makes Congleton debut

Words Charlie Staples

A busy weekend of matches for our players out on loan across the North West as the league campaigns continue across steps two to six of the non-league pyramid.

Lucas Weaver (Chorley, National League North)

Lucas continues to build momentum in his loan spell at Chorley, starting the last two matches in the Enterprise National League North, against Southport and Merthyr Town.

Joel Bailey (Bamber Bridge, NPL Premier Division)

Joel has been a constant in the Bamber Bridge back-line throughout October, starting every game and contributing to two wins and a single defeat. The young centre-back is steadily accumulating important match time and experience on loan.

Owen German (Ashton United, NPL Premier Division)

Since his move to Ashton United, Owen has hit the ground running — playing two full matches and helping his side record back-to-back wins. Following previous spells at Alfreton and Witton Albion, he’s continuing his progression and making strides in his development.

Remi Raymond (Congleton Town, NPL Division One West)

Remi has embarked on a new loan chapter at Congleton Town, which runs through until January. The attacking midfielder made his debut during the Bears' 1-0 win at Bootle, following a stint with fellow NPL Division One West outfit Witton Albion.

In the North West Counties League Division One South, Harry Watson started for Barnton, while recent Alty first team debutant Raion Rowe also appeared, in a 2-1 defeat to table-topping Telford Town.

Fellow Academy player Isaac Mannion was in action once more for Cheadle Heath Nomads as they lost 1-0 at Sandbach United.

We thank Frazer Thorley & Total Fitness (Lucas Weaver), Go Interiors Warrington (Remi Raymond) & Ian Watmore (Owen German) for their player sponsorship in 2025/26.
