Carlisle come to town on Saturday

A return to The J.Davidson Stadium is on the cards Saturday afternoon (3pm), with the Robins looking to bounce back from last week’s setback at Boreham Wood, as they take on Carlisle United in the clubs’ first ever meeting.
We're open early doors (12:15pm) for home fans wanting to grab a spot in the Fan Zone for the Merseyside Derby, ahead of what is sure to be a terrific afternoon of live football on Moss Lane.
Chasing Promotion
With last week’s result against Boreham Wood the Robins find themselves in 11th place in the Enterprise National League, with four wins and five losses to their name.
Top-scorer Jimmy Knowles was on target in the 58th minute, but the resulting Alty
pressure couldn’t create a way back into the match. Phil Parkinson's side are now three points off the play-offs and eight points behind this weekend's opposition.
Our Opponents
Carlisle have already found their rhythm in the Enterprise National League this season following relegation from the EFL in 2024/25.
Under experienced manager (and Manchester United legend) Mark Hughes, they have won six, drew two and lost once in the league this season, finding themselves in third place.
A big part of this early success has been down to top scorer Regan Linney, who made the switch to ‘The Cumbrians’ from Alty this summer.
