Alty backing Bowel Cancer awareness
Altrincham FC and Altrincham FC Community Sports are raising awareness of bowel cancer in the lead up to Braintree Town's visit to The J.Davidson Stadium on February 8th.
That particularly matchday has been designated as Bowel Cancer Awareness Day, as a club we look to promote messaging around symptoms, early detection and treatment.
You'll find lots of helpful information across all Altrincham FC and Community Sports channels over the next 12 days, with Community Health & Wellbeing co-ordinator Gail Simpson-Scott appearing on Radio Alty this lunchtime to talk about the start of the campaign.
Later in the week This Van Can will be stopping off in Trafford on Thursday (Altrincham), Friday (Partington) and Saturday (Stretford), talking to the public about the symptoms and risks of bowel cancer.
For more information on This Van Can head for the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance website here.
The Bowel Cancer UK website is also a good source of information on bowel cancer, what it is, what to look for and what to do if you're concerned about the risks.
